With 1 in 5 people in Michigan carrying a criminal record and nationwide recidivism rates sky-high, The Hidden Nation seeks to rewrite the narrative. We aim to bridge the gaps in resources, expose systemic barriers, and shine a light on untold stories that challenge public perception and drive meaningful change.
The Hidden Nation is currently filming episodes across Michigan. The stories we find will pave the way for individuals who have just regained their freedom, helping them bypass the trials and struggles of those who came before.
